July 4, 2016
Course Date: Saturday 3 September 2016
Time: 09.00 – 17.00
Venue: Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre
Conducted by Honorary Associate Professor Amanda Oakley, this one-day course addresses clinical and dermatoscopic diagnosis of common benign and malignant skin lesions, particularly pigmented lesions.
All general practitioners and nurses who undertake skin examinations are invited to attend, whether new to or experienced in dermatoscopy. Participants should gain increased confidence in their diagnostic skills, leading to a reduction in unnecessary excisions of benign conditions. The course will be highly interactive. The course material is based on the chaos and clues, modified pattern recognition method.
The course is hosted by MelNet, with support from the Health Promotion Agency.
MelNet is offering a subsidised fee for general practice registrars.
The course has been endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) and has been approved for up to 6.5 credits CME for the General Practice Educational Programme (GPEP) and Maintenance of Professional Standards (MOPS) purposes.
