AMRF: Calls for applications 2022 R2 (Project)
February 10, 2022
The Auckland Medical Research Foundation’s purpose is to improve the health of New Zealanders through funding the highest quality medical research of all kinds. The AMRF research funding area is limited to all recognised tertiary institutions and DHB’s in the greater Auckland and Northland region of New Zealand. The funding area may be extended outside this region only if hosted by a principal investigator who is a member of an Auckland tertiary institution or a DHB clinical unit in Auckland or Northland.
The Auckland Medical Research Foundation is calling for applications for Project Grants to support medical research projects for up to two years duration and a new maximum of $180,000.
Please note that in addition to their usual funding in all areas of medical and health research, specific funds are potentially available (in a contestable manner using their standard procedures) for research into melanoma and other skin cancers.
Applications must be made through the AMRF portal at www.funding.medicalresearch.org.nz. Please familiarise yourself with the Guide to applicants, accessible via their website at www.medicalresearch.org.nz/how-to-apply or via the application form within the AMRF portal to check your eligibility and ensure your application complies with all regulations.
Applications must be received by the AMRF on the portal by 5 pm, 2 March 2022. Please note that your host institution may have an earlier closing date and the AMRF strongly encourages you to adhere to the internal deadline. Please also ensure that you also fulfil any institutional requirements for submission.
