Melanoma Institute Australia's Immunotherapy Outcomes Prediction Calculator

Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is pleased to announce that they have developed a new clinical tool to help oncologists more accurately determine if their patients will respond to immunotherapy before starting treatment.
Developed by researchers at MIA, the Immunotherapy Outcomes Prediction calculator will help guide treatment decision making and ultimately lead to a more personalised medicine approach.
By using routinely collected clinical factors available at consultation – like blood parameters and site of metastases – clinicians will be able to better profile patients' likelihood of response to checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy prior to commencing treatment.
The data was validated from more than 1,500 patients from Australia, Europe and the US, with results recently published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
