AMRF: Call for applications for a melanoma or other skin cancer Fellowship

The Auckland Medical Research Foundation is calling for applications for the J.I. Sutherland Medical Research Fellowship.
The J.I. Sutherland Fund was established with the specific goal of supporting research into melanoma and other skin cancers. The J.I. Sutherland Medical Research Fellowship provides support for a medical or non-medical graduate who wishes to undertake full-time medical research for a PhD or an MD in the specific field of melanoma or other skin cancer research. The type of research can range from basic research through to clinical research.
The tenure will be for up to three years. For non-medically qualified graduates the stipend will be set at $35,000 per annum. For medically qualified graduated the stipend will be set at $72,000 per annum.
The J.I. Sutherland Medical Research Fellowship will also cover annual tuition fees and will provide a contribution towards working expenses of $5,000 per annum. In addition, during the term of the Fellowship there is provision for one award of up to $5,000 to assist with conference travel expenses.

Applications must be made through the AMRF portal using the J.I. Sutherland Medical Research Fellowship application form. Please refer to the J.I. Sutherland Medical Research Fellowship guide to applicants, accessible via AMRF's website or via the application form within the AMRF portal to check your eligibility and ensure your application complies with all regulations.
Applications must be received by the AMRF on the portal by 5 pm, 7 August 2024. Please note that your host institution may have an earlier closing date and the AMRF strongly encourages you to adhere to the internal deadline. Please also ensure that you also fulfil any institutional requirements for submission.
These applications now include a two-stage process:
Stage 1: Submission of a full application. Applicants submit their application which is then reviewed by the AMRF Scholarships and Fellowships Medical Committee.
Stage 2: Top ranked applicants will be invited to an interview on 10 October.
