Abstract submissions for the 2026 New Zealand Skin Cancer Summit are now open.
We invite you to share your work across skin cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and care.
Accepted abstracts will be presented as e-posters and displayed on screens in the catering and exhibition area. Delegates will be able to view posters at their leisure during scheduled breaks.
The presenting author of accepted abstracts must be registered for the Summit for their abstract to be included in the programme. Attendance is not mandatory.
Submission instructions
- Abstracts must be written in a Word document file.
- Abstracts should include an abstract title, presenting author name, position and contact details (phone and email).
- Abstracts must not exceed 200 words. The word limit applies to the body of the abstract only and excludes title and author details.
- Abstracts should be emailed to the Skin Cancer Summit Coordinator at admin@melnet.org.nz with the subject line “2026 Summit Abstract”.
Submission requirements and author obligations
- All abstracts must be original work.
- All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
- There is a limit of one abstract per individual.
- Submission of an abstract acknowledges consent to publish the abstract on the Summit website prior to and after the event.
- The presenting author will be required to register for the Summit to ensure their abstract is included in the final programme. They do not have to be available at the Summit to present their abstract.
Notification of outcomes
Notification of outcomes will be sent by email to the submitting author no later than 17 April 2026.
Accepted abstracts may be published on the Summit webpage.
Submission timeline
