We are proud to announce our transition from the Melanoma Network of New Zealand (MelNet) to Skin Cancer New Zealand.

Why we're rebranding

Since 2008, MelNet has been a trusted voice for skin cancer professionals. Over the years, our work has shaped the way melanoma is prevented, detected and treated in New Zealand.

While well-known, our previous name focused on melanoma and didn't reflect the breadth of our work across all forms of skin cancer. We wanted a name and identity that clearly represents who we are today and the full scope of our mission.

Our new look

We now have a bold new logo that will begin appearing across newsletters, social media, events, and other communications in the coming weeks.

Our new website, launching in March, will showcase a refreshed look, make it easier to access our education, training, and resources, and provide greater opportunities for the skin cancer community to connect.

Our commitment remains the same

While our look and name have changed, our dedication to preventing skin cancers, supporting early detection, and improving outcomes for all New Zealanders remains the same.

Our work continues — with the same mission, renewed energy, and a bold new identity.

We look forward to entering this exciting new chapter with you.
