Fostering collaboration among nurses working in skin cancer

Nurses are playing an increasingly important role in the prevention, detection, and management of skin cancer in New Zealand.

Our goals are to reduce the burden of skin cancer and improve outcomes for those affected by:

  • Connecting like-minded nurses
  • Fostering effective networking and collaboration
  • Growing the number of nurses working in skin cancer
  • Developing, supporting and facilitating ongoing professional development
  • Promoting the exchange of ideas, knowledge and best practice

Our current priorities

  • Build connection and support through a WhatsApp group for professional networking, knowledge sharing, and mutual encouragement.
  • Shape the future of skin cancer nursing by developing a clear professional pathway.
  • Grow expertise together with twice-yearly meetings focused on best practice.
