Diagnostic tools

The following tools have been developed by Professor Cliff Rosendahl of The University of Queensland and colleagues to support the accurate diagnosis of skin lesions.

These tools should be used when a confident, specific, benign, pattern-recognition diagnosis cannot be made - such lesions are considered "lesions of concern".

These diagnostic posters were updated in 2025, marking their first revision in 10 years. This reflects the enduring integrity and clinical relevance of the original versions.
